Why do you wish for Pet Therapy at your Event?
Our school annually hosts "Love Day" in honor of a former principal who passed in 2020, named Keith Love. Love day is about community building and healing. This year, 9th graders wrote proposals for activities they think would contribute to building love & community at the school. One group asked for pets, which upon further discussion with administration, was approved under the condition that the pets be trained service animals.

In the rear of the building there is a more secluded parking lot that typically has a tent set up on Love Day for after school staff PD. It has been proposed to use this space so guidance can select students and the animals can be outdoors but separate from the full community which might be overwhelming.

Unfortunately indoor options require significant additional permitting and if we are rained out, we will have to cancel.
