What time is your event?

The conference runs from 8am - 4:30pm each day, but I'd love to talk with you about what timeframes work best (for the teams, for foot traffic, attendee breaks, etc).

Why do you wish for Pet Therapy at your Event?

This is our 25th annual suicide prevention conference and we're hoping to really elevate the amount of care we are providing everyone. We have a variety of folks who attend (suicide loss survivors, clinicians, peers, educators, community organizers, etc) and as I'm sure you can imagine, the conference can be very emotionally draining at times. Also, our planning team are huge doggo people and what event isn't made better by some furry friends? :)

We think that having the teams indoor would provide more access to attendees and more comfort to the teams. And, if it is appealing, there are several outdoor areas (with seating and shade and places to raise a leg!) available too. I'd love to chat with you more about your preferences for the teams!

Have you considered how to promote this event?

We have a multiple e-distribution lists that includes past attendees and other colleagues in suicide prevention work, as well as DPH's Suicide Prevention Programs training calendar. The conference is one of the most popular ones offered by the State and it sells out very quickly each year. (And we'd love your logo too!)

Parking Arrangements

There is oodles of free parking at the Four Points Sheraton, in very close proximity to the main conference hall. Most attendees park behind the hotel (closer to the conference hall) and then as soon as you enter the doors in the back you'll be by the registration tables. We can definitely get some super clear directions/images to you well ahead of time for teams to make it super easy for them to find us! :)

Will other Pet Organizations be present?

No, you'd be the only group! We do have a few attendees each year who have their private emotional support animals (generally 2-3 people).

Outline any protocols needed for volunteers to come to your facility.

None that I'm aware of, but I'd love to talk more to make sure I'm not missing something that we should be considering.

I would love to set up a call with the Director of Volunteers to chat more about everything. I want to make sure I'm answering all of your questions completely, and would love to brainstorm about your preferences/team needs/logistics too. :)
