I am the faculty advisor for a group of student leaders who advocate for mental health on campus. They have been asking for years to bring therapy dogs to Govs as a stress reliever for students! They're planning a 'wellness week' during a stressful academic period this spring to offer healthy outlets for students, and they hope to have the Thursday of that week be "Therapy Dog Thursday". As a boarding school, many residential students miss the opportunity to connect with the pets they have at home (for many it is a coping strategy/stress reliever that they miss dearly). We hope to welcome you to Govs!
