Why do you wish for Pet Therapy at your Event?
We have a group of girl scouts who are earning their cadette Animal Helper badge -- it's all about the connection between humans and animals and how animals help people (service animals, bomb sniffing animals, farm animals etc). The group will be about 20 girls, they are all 6th graders. We would love to have a friendly dog or cat visit with their handler so the girls can interact with the pet and also ask the handler questions -- like, how to know if an animal will be okay be in different situations, how do train the animal, why did you decide to be a handler and do this wonderful service etc? We have two options -- we can do it at my house in Concord -- I have a large room and we can move the furniture to the perimeter as suggested in the event guide -- or we likely would be able to do it at the Concord Scout House (I would prefer my house because it is more comfortable and easier to deal with).

Have you considered how to promote this event?
We will send an email to our cadette families with your information. Two other organizations/businesses that will be promoted are Buddy Dog (where I volunteer and I'll be talking to the girls about animal shelters and how they can help) and West Concord Animal Clinic (where we will be visiting the same afternoon).
