Why do you wish for Pet Therapy at your Event?
Social Workers are dedicated to the children and families they serve. It is a challenging job that often goes unappreciated. This request is actually being placed by a volunteer of Fostering Hope New England, an organization who with their partners plan special events for Social Workers in various offices each March for Social Worker Appreciation Month. Social workers love pet therapy!! It is one of their favorite parts of these special event days that we put on for them!

The Cape Ann DCF Offices occupy several rooms - some open floor concept and some conference rooms. We will work with you to reserve the best space in the complex for your pets and volunteers.

Have you considered how to promote this event?
Fostering Hope works with the administration of DCF to notify their employees/social workers of the day of our event. Social workers receive emails with details about the day leading up to the day. Many people come because it is their workplace AND because they know how special a day it is from their experiences in years past.

Parking Arrangements
To find the 500 building, DCF suggests we **come in the Balch Street entrance**, not the entrance on Route 62. All parking is free. You can park in front of the building or in the parking garage. Enter the 500 building **through the door under the flags** and proceed straight ahead to the public elevators. Take the elevator to the 5th floor. Turn left out of the elevator and down the hall. Last door on the left.

Regarding photos: We don't mind photos being taken at the event, however, because there can be sensitivity around child welfare cases, we prefer that images not be shared that identify the location or individuals on social media or external websites.
