Why do you wish for Pet Therapy at your Event?
The Anesthesiology residents at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center have had a somewhat tumultuous year. The unexpected departure of beloved Attendings who were instrumental in their education and wellness, uncertainty about the future of the hospital and the program, as well as more personal struggles such as loss of family members, have all added to the already stressful day to day lives of resident physicians. I believe that therapy pets are one of the best ways to bring joy and ease stress and anxiety, so having the Pets & People Foundation visit our hospital will go a long way in improving the wellbeing and morale of our anesthesia residents.
