We have a student group on campus whose job is to advocate for and support the mental health of students on campus. Last year, as part of their first ever "Wellness Week" they wanted to bring your group to campus for "Therapy Dog Thursday." They've been asking to have therapy dogs for years, and this particular event was easily the highlight of the week and the most well-attended of all activities we offered! Students reported joy and stress relief from their interactions with your volunteers. This year, they hope to bring back "Therapy Dog Thursday" on January 16th, which is the first day of exam week, to help students alleviate stress as well as spark joy during what can be a dreary time of year.
