About the Event

"The event is called Hope Blooms and is held during Mental Health Awareness Month. All community members are welcome. We are coming together to remember those lost to suicide, provide resources, and have some fun too. It's a heavy topic, so we would love to have some furry friends on site to support our attendees."

1. Location Description:  The event will take place behind the United Way of Tri-County building in the parking lot, which will used only for this event.

2. Other pet organizations attending: No. Dogs only

3. Parking arrangements:  Parking is free. There are spots on the side of the building that will be designated for Pets & People. Parking directors will be aware that your teams are coming and will know where to send them to park. The spots are located right next to the event site. Volunteers should tell those who are directing traffic that they are with Pets & People and ask to be directed to the designated parking spots on the side of the building.

4. Current COVID Protocols:   None at this time.

 Pets & People Event notes:

  • Remember your ID badge and your dog in the vest/bandana with Pets & People logo.
  • Always have a face mask with you at any event.  While protocols will be changing, it is important that all participants at Events feel comfortable and safe.  Mask guidelines for each event are listed on Event Details.
  • Be sure pet is clean, coat and teeth brushed and nails clipped.
  • Please remember our protocols state no pet interaction.  If teams interact with any other pets always watch each dog's reactions and be proactive.
  • Do not post pictures of any individuals you visit as a Pets & People volunteer team on your personal social media pages.
