About the Event

"They (the students) have been asking for years to bring therapy dogs to Govs! Govs is planning a 'wellness week' during a stressful academic period this spring to offer healthy outlets for students, and they hope to have the Thursday of that week be "Therapy Dog Thursday". As a boarding school, many residential students miss the opportunity to connect with the pets they have at home (for many it is a coping strategy/stress reliever that they miss dearly). We hope to welcome you to Govs!

1. Location Description:  French Student Center (or outdoor, weather permitting), bldg #12 on the map.             https://www.thegovernorsacademy.org/about/campus-map

2. Other pet organizations attending: They are reaching out to other Therapy Groups. Dogs only.

3. Parking arrangements:  Street parking is available directly in front of French Student Center, and there are designated guest parking spots in the rink parking lot, which is adjacent to the student center. No cost for parking.  https://www.thegovernorsacademy.org/about/campus-map

4. Current COVID Protocols:  None at this time.

 Pets & People Event notes:
