About the Event
We are hosting a pre-exam meeting for the Women’s Research Engagement Network designed to be both reflective and uplifting. Our group consists of female student researchers who often navigate significant academic pressure alongside broader challenges related to gender, equity, and community service within research spaces.
This meeting focuses on open discussion around the intersection of research, community engagement, and the challenges women face in academic and professional environments. These can be difficult and vulnerable conversations, and we want to create an atmosphere that feels safe, supportive, and welcoming.
The presence of therapy dogs would provide comfort, reduce stress, and help participants feel more at ease engaging in meaningful dialogue during an otherwise high-pressure time in the semester. Offering this kind of emotional support aligns closely with our mission to uplift one another and foster a compassionate, connected research community.
