About the Event
For the last two years, our peer advisors (who are student leaders dedicated to supporting student mental health on campus) have partnered with Pets & People to bring therapy dogs to campus for "Therapy Dog Thursday". We've done this during either midterms or exams to support students during a stressful time on campus. It has been incredibly well-received, and the students always say it's a highlight to their year. The peer advisors hope to bring Therapy Dog Thursday back during exam week in January. We've found this to be particularly beneficial for our boarding students who miss their pets at home and aren't able to regularly see and connect with them.
